Top 8 Feel-Good Movies!

If you're anything like me, you have your happy pants on because it's almost the holiday season! All I want to do is watch those fun, feel-good movies, but I can't justify watching Betelgeuse or The Santa Clause just yet. Until that blessed day (October 1st to be exact) is upon us, here are my favorite non-holiday feel-good movies. Let's begin!

The Wizard of Oz
Easily one of my Mom's favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz has been a staple in my life since...well forever. I'll throw it on particularly if I'm homesick because Dorothy totally feels the same way. She just gets it, okay?

The Princess Diaries 1&2
I always find myself watching these two movies! Mia goes from being ignored and picked on, to having her life turned upside down, to having all these responsibilities dumped on her, to being pressured by her family and society to do what they want her to do, and ultimately her kicking-butt and doing her own thing. How could you not feel good after watching these two movies?!

Okay...Up will totally make you cry at the very beginning, but that's okay! You can get allllll your feelings out then. Just let it out girl! Once the tears are gone, you're left with a really cute story, a grumpy-turned-sweet old man, a cute chubby little kiddo, and a talking dog with A.D.D... What's not to love?

The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

If you know me, you knew this was going to make my list. I have an undying love for Spongebob, and I have NO SHAME! It's inevitable that you're going to laugh when you watch this movie so just suck it up and watch it okay? Good.

If you're having a pity party, Matilda should definitely make you feel better about your life and happy endings. Her family is awful, her school is awful, and the girl still keeps a smile on her face. Plus she gets back at everyone and has a happy ending so I gotta say yes please!

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
I'm talking about the original, not the remake! It kind of goes along with Matilda. Charlie has a hard life but still stays hopeful. In the end he gets everything he could ever need for himself and his family. I love it!

Mary Poppins

Who doesn't love Mary Poppins? Purses that are never full, floating men, chimney sweeps... This movie just takes you away from everything, just for a little while. It always gets me in a good mood, so give it a try!

  1. Oh my gosh, Matilda! I didn't think anyone else loves that movie! I remember when I was younger, I rented it from Blockbuster and watched it everyday before returning it, haha.

  2. willy wonka is one of my all time favorites---also not a fan of the remake!

    Makeshift Munch

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for making my day :)
