The Insomniac Reset

My sleep schedule is so thrown off, I think I need to completely start over and work my way from sleeping like a newborn to sleeping like a big girl. I'd love to say that it's because of the time change (and I swear it partly is!) but we all know I'm an insomniac to the core. Team No Sleep for the win y'all. Yes, I just said y'all. I wanted to try it out. I don't think it's for me. Moving on...

I have been constantly tired lately because I just can not get a decent nights sleep! I will yawn my way through the day, and desperately need a nap, regardless of if I have coffee or not. I'll be super tired until bed time, and it's like no matter how tired I am, my brain is like "and none for Gretchen Weiners Kimberly." I've tried different bed times, taking a nap vs. not taking a nap, having caffeine vs. not... it's just not happening guys! If I do fall asleep, I wake up at least twice, and have super vivid dreams. I never feel rested if I dream. I'm seriously ready to become an owl or a vampire and sleep all day, and stay up writing blog posts all night. Heh oh wait I'm already doing the latter...

Really though. Melatonin doesn't work for me, and I have a negative reaction to sleeping aids, so I think I'm going to have to re-set my body. And that means skipping out on one nights sleep. Basically I just won't go to bed one night, and I'll be a zombie the next day, and hold out until my ideal bedtime of 10 to (hopefully) pass out. It's not the most fun thing to do, but sometimes it's necessary. Like now.

Is anyone else a hard core insomniac, or having sleeping problems after the time change? What have you been doing to get to sleep? I've given up and am using my sleepless nights to write blog posts. I have two done already! Yay for productivity.
