REVIEW | Dessange Oleo Miracle Hair Line

*Disclaimer: All products were sent to me from Influenster to try out. I'm under no obligation to blog about what they send me, nor do I get paid for promoting Influenster or the products/brands. I'm free to give my honest opinion, so I share what I like  :)

Holy cow, I'm going to rave for a second, but only because I'm seriously obsessed with this product line I got in my #JadoreDessange Voxbox! I was sent the Dessange Oleo Miracle shampoo, conditioner, and leave in oil treatment to test out, and I'm in love. I've already recommended it to my mom, roommate, and basically everyone I know, so you know I really love it! It's branded for over-processed or damaged hair, but I say it's for anyone! It left my hair feeling and looking so amazing, now I have to see what stories carry it near me!

So let's start with my hair. I've talked about it before, but for those of you who are new, I'll do a quick run down. I have very dark, naturally curly hair. I was blonde all through high school, but am now back to my natural color. My hair has mostly grown out, but the bottom few inches of my hair is left over from when I had been coloring it, so they need all the help they can get. In my early teens (before my amazing hairdresser who dyed my hair through high school) I had this one lady who totally and completely fried my hair. It was rough I tell you. I wanted to remain blonde, so the new hair dresser I found helped me get my hair healthy again. Needless to say, I am very picky about the hair products I use.

So now for the Dessange line. I definitely wouldn't say my hair is over-processed, since I no longer color it, and really just my ends are just a bit damaged. I tried it out anyway. At first I was super nervous, because both the shampoo and conditioner felt thing, almost runny. They did smell amazing though. Like sandalwood, with a hint of orange. Yum! I was really surprised when my hair was super smooth after washing out the shampoo. Usually it's in knots and feels totally dry! It felt silky and light weight after getting the conditioner out as well.

While my hair was still damp, I added a few pumps of oil to my hair (mostly my ends) and then brushed it through. I usually don't add oil to my hair because it weighs it down, and can make it feel greasy, but I was pleasantly surprised. My hair still felt light weight after!

I blew my hair dry (per usual) and decided to straighten it. When I straighten my hair you can totally tell that my ends are damaged, and I wanted to see if the Oleo Miracle line actually made a difference... It so did! Not only did my hair straighten a lot quicker, but my ends looked great! I even FaceTimed my mom so show her.

Ignore the no makeup. I had just finished straightening my hair and was excited. So smooth!
My ends desperately need a trim, but they looked SO good compared to normal.

Now for my favorite part. My hair did not get greasy at all. When I let my hair go natural, I will go 4 days without washing it, easily. When I straighten it, I usually have to wash it sooner, but not with this product line! I also didn't have to touch up my hair with the flat iron, which has never happened before. My hair stayed super smooth and straight.

As you can probably tell, I'm loving this product line. I believe Dessange is new-ish to America, and is originally a French brand. For now you can find their products in Target, and I'm sure they will be available in more stores soon. If you can get your hands on this stuff, it is so worth trying it. It runs about $9 for each product, and you will not be sorry.

  1. I got this Voxbox too. I've only tried it once. The only thing I noticed was that my hair was less tangled. Definitely going to try it out some more though. Glad to know you liked it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for making my day :)
