Where Am I Going?

I am so up in the air about college right now, I should own my own airline. Originally I thought about studying for a semester in Hawaii as part of a student exchange program, but after realizing I'd be over there with no car, no kitty, and an unsure living situation upon returning to UNH, I changed my mind.
Now I'm thinking about transferring schools all together. I love UNH...but I don't love walking through snow and slush to get to my classes. While snow is nice for the holidays, I don't enjoy it's presence from November to April. Sorry not sorry.
Next, Psychology is my passion and has always been/always will be. I know what I want to do with my life, and it involves Psychology. I also love Criminology, but UNH doesn't offer it as a degree program. This isn't a huge deal, and to make up for it my second major is Justice studies, and my minor is sociology. I don't particularly love either of those fields, but they both encompass a bit of criminology so I stick it out. It would be much easier if I could just dual major in Psychology and Criminology, which I know is an option at some other Universities.
Lastly, I want to go to grad school somewhere between Massachusetts and North Carolina. It would be nice to experience living a little farther from home now, while I can easily transfer back to UNH. Grad school is a whole other world, and I don't think it will be as easy to just change my mind and go somewhere else if I don't like my location.
Any thoughts? I'm currently thinking about going to school in North Carolina, but I'd be happy anywhere above it on the east coast. Has anyone else transferred for their junior year of college? Thought's and opinions are greatly appreciated!

My "Cold" Routine

That lovely pile only took me an hour
I have a cold, and I'm a complete baby when it comes to colds. I never used to be...but last year I had a cold all winter that got into my lungs and turned into walking pneumonia. So when I get a cold now, I baby it. Today I had two tests again which I somehow got through, so now I'm ready to start my "Cold" routine. This includes:

Woohoo! I'm so excited to do my first Love in a Box blogger swap post! There will be more information below about what Love in a Box is, but basically every month participants get paired up with a different blogger, and they swap a box of goodies/knick knacks. It's lot's of fun!

#LovingMe

My mother and I. Do you think we look alike?

Usually I take Sunday for myself and don't post anything, but this week I'm making an exception. Today (February 23rd) through Sunday March 2nd is National Eating Disorders Awareness week. Her Campus has started the #LovingMe project to support the week, while also focusing on non-physical features that people love about themselves. I think this is absolutely great! To help spread the word, I thought I would do a post about what I love most about myself. You can learn more about the #LovingMe project here.

Sisterhood

Isn't she the cutest? The correct answer is "yes," because she looks like me.

When I was six, my little sister came into the world and turned it upside down. I was used to being the baby of the family at that point, and didn't want another little girl to come steal my spotlight. I even stormed out of the room when the doctor told my mom she was having a girl (up until that point, they thought it was a boy). Lovely wasn't I?

It's All About Z

So I didn't do an outfit of the day (don't hate me!). When I went home I had a nice visit with my mom and family, and it kind of slipped my mind. So to make up for it, I'm going to share some adorable kitty pictures, and let you get to know miss Zimby a bit. I know you've been dying to find out more about her. Okay maybe not, but I'm going to force this on you anyway, because this is my blog and I can (insert evil laugh here). SO without further ado adieu?, meet Zimby, my bizarre cat.

She's very goofy and loves to play

Wearing a Dress in New England

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that New England has been getting slammed with snow over the past week, and I can't handle the cold. Yes I'm one of those annoying people that posts about the weather. But you'd also know that today through Saturday is going to be in the high forties, which is downright balmy! Break out the beach chairs and someone help me get the top off my jeep. Too far? Okay maybe a little, but as you can see, I'm excited.

Spring Break & Smoothies!

In just over two weeks, I'm going to be packing up my roommates car and heading to bright and sunny Florida. Raise your hand if you just realized you have two weeks to look amazing in those forty dollar Victoria Secret bottoms you bought. Just me? Oh well.

"Get Your Freak On!" | 15 Random Questions Tag

Hey guys! I always love reading other bloggers tags, "get to know me" and "weird facts" posts, so I thought it would be fun to do one! This one is the "Get Your Freak On" tag. I think it's kind of old, but who cares! Here are the questions and my answers:

Rude People at the Post Office

     Source
Good morning! It's 11:45 and I already have a story to tell you. I feel like today is going to be one of those event-filled days. Anyway, I went to the post office this morning, on my way to babysitting, to ship my Love in a Box package to Tiffany! Let me tell you, it was quite an experience.

The 5 Stages of Sickness

Who has an amazing immune system and never get's sick? Not this girl. It seems like the flu has decided on a rematch, and is kicking my butt. Round one was short lived and manageable, so of course round two has to be torture. I'm writing this post on Sunday, because Monday I have four classes and 3 hours of lab to get through, which is hard enough when I'm perfectly healthy.
Anyway, since I'm feeling bratty about having the flu, I thought I would share with you my 5 Stages of Sickness, as told by my favorite Supernatural hotties. Enjoy.

Shopping Finds, Sales, College Budget & More!

Being in college, I can't go shopping and buy myself whatever I want all the time (if ever). I always have to remember I have rent to pay, my credit card bill, food...But I do love shopping. I get it from my Mom.

A love for shopping and a college girl budget can be quite the dangerous pair if not balanced well. So say hello to thrifting and sales! Yesterday I did a little shopping with my mom and sister, and found some great deals! I picked up a cute dress from Savers, and tons of things from Kohl's. Their President's Day sales are going on this weekend, and I saw price cuts everywhere! I picked up quite a few things, but I thought I would share my two favorites with you all.

The Perks Of Babysitting

As I've mentioned in a few previous posts, I'm a babysitter. I mean, I've had other jobs and in the summer I manage a beach store, but babysitting is something I do year round. Oh and let's not forget that I've been doing it since I was ten. So as you can imagine, I have quite a few stories, but in this post I'm going to focus on the perks of babysitting.

What Do You Want From Me!?

Today I thought I would do a little update on some things I've been planning for the ole blog. Dramatic title right? When I get really busy and/or sick (like this past week) my brain turns to mush and I have a hard time 1. Thinking of fun themed posts and 2. Actually writing them. It is what it is. When this happens, I usually end up doing life posts, but those get old over time. SO I'm going to be writing and saving some themed posts, that I can upload during those busy weeks. I'm definitely going to do a "What's in my backpack" post and a "What's in my purse" post for sure... But I wanted to ask if any of you lovelies have suggestions, or posts you would like to see from me. Anything? Beuller? Also, if you have specific questions then maybe I'll do a Q&A post. Leave any suggestions/questions/thoughts in the comment section! Hope everyone had a happy Valentines Day :)

My Sick Day Playlist

Let's cut to the chase, shall we? I'm getting the flu. Everyone around me has been sick for the past two weeks, and somehow I've managed to avoid it. Today my immune system met it's match when a two year old projectile vomited on me. Lovely right? My body hurts, food doesn't agree with me, and I just know I'm going to wake up sick in the middle of the night. One ticket for the struggle bus please.

My Top 5 Favorite Authors

Sometimes I love to just grab a book and lounge around reading all day. Or well, at least I did back in high school when I had time...But every now and then I get hit with a snow day, or I unexpectedly get a day off from babysitting. While in most cases I would spend my time running errands, there are still some days when I get in some good reading time. If you're on the hunt for amazing authors, here are my favorites:

It's A Hard Knock Life...

If you've seen my previous two posts, you'll know that today I had and exam in my Psychobiology class, and one in my Personality Psychology class. It was rough. Like, I'm singing "It's a Hard Knock Life" in my head, kind of rough.

Top 10 Studying Tips

Miss Zimby trying to help me study last year.
Oh hey there. How's it going? Being a Psychology major, I've learned quite a bit about short and long-term memory. That also means I've learned tons of studying tips that make life easier and help you actually remember the information! I thought I would share this knowledge with all of you fellow procrastinators/study haters (don't deny it).

Manic Monday- Tests, Deadlines, & Studying in Hawaii?

Today is definitely "Manic Monday" worthy! So much has been going on!
First off, today was the first day in about two weeks that I've had all four classes plus my lab hours. One of my professors has been very sick and cancelled the last two classes, and we also had a snow day. So I felt a little pressed for time, to say the least. Throw in the fact that one of my professors went over on class time so I only had 6 minutes to run to my next class, and you could say I've been running around like mad. Good cardio though! Not feeling well today definitely didn't help.

So Much To Do, So Little Time...

    Source
Do you ever have days where you feel like you have so much to do, but not quite enough time to get it done? I'm having one of those days. My morning isn't super packed, which is why I'm writing this post right now, but later on today I'm going to be running around like a mad person.

Yummy Easy Roasted Sweet Potato

So a few weeks ago I made really yummy roasted sweet potatos. And lost all of the pictures I took for this blog post. Yeah, go me. Anyway, I redid it, and finally can get this post up! By the way, this recipe also works with tons of other veggies (I usually like to do sweet potato's, brussels sprouts, and broccoli all together), and is super simple!

        What you will need:
  • 1 Large sweet potato (Or a head of broccoli, or about 7 brussels sprouts)
  • Olive oil (or any oil of your choice, I just like how it tastes with olive oil)
  • Salt
  • Pan

My Name Is Kimberly & I Have A Thrifting Problem...

It's not even 11 am yet, and I've already been thrift shopping today. Let that sink in. To my own defense, I had to wake up at 7 am for a 7:45 appointment, 20 minutes away. So I felt like I deserved a little something when I got done. If you couldn't tell, I'm not a morning person. I love to be up early, if I actually manage to fall asleep early, but that never happens.

The Single Girl's Guide To Valentines Day

Single people love to call Valentines Day, "Singles Awareness Day". I suppose that may be true, but why is it bad? I don't know about you, but I love being single. I'm in college, I work, I want to have a social life and enjoy being around all my gal pals before everyone spreads out across America for real life. So please, remind me why being tied down to one person during this time in my life would be a good thing? The only pity party you should be having on V-day is when you have to get up to refill your drink.

How To: Make a JB

Here are UNH, there is this little place called Franzs that has a huge menu and is just fantastic. Most people (including myself) order the "JB" which is the best breakfast wrap you will ever have. Don't even try and argue me on that. I can't have them anymore because of my dairy allergy stupid butter so I figured out my own way to make them, and while it's a no-brainer, I'm gonna share my method with all of you.

Snow Day: Food, Zimby, Channing Tatum & More!

What I saw out my front window when I woke up

Woohoo! Snow day! So yesterday afternoon my University decided that today would be a snow day. Yeah, they plan ahead. Originally I was hoping to maybe do some sledding or just walking around campus, but the snow was coming down like dust. I don't know if you've ever experienced that or not, but dusty snow isn't fun to walk around in because there is no way to keep it out of your face. I did have a nice day though! And I got some things done too.

Blogger Swap Info!

Hi Guys!

I wanted to let you all know that I'm going to start doing a Blogger Swap! Once every month, another blogger and I are going to send each other a little box of goodies. At the end of that month, we will each do a post about what we received in our box, and a little information about the other blogger! Oh, and I'll be doing the swap with a different blogger each month. It's a great way to connect with fellow bloggers, and it'll be a lot of fun too!

  Here are the rules:
  • The swap has a $25 limit. So don't spend more than that! ($20 limit if it's international because of shipping charges).
  • It must be shipped by the 18th of the month. That way there is enough time for the blogger to receive the box and do a post by the end of the month!
  • A post about what you received should by up by the last day of the month.
  • Each blogger will do a small paragraph about the other blogger.
  • If for whatever reason you are unable to do the swap that month, you must notify the other blogger no later than the 10th.
So that's basically it! I'm only going to do one per month, so I don't break the bank! There has been quite a bit of interest in this swap, so if I don't get a chance to swap with you (there's only so many months in a year!) then don't worry, I will set you up with other bloggers! If you want to be paired up for the February swap, please let me know before the 7th! If you are interested in doing a swap for other months or want more info, send me an email with "Blogger Swap" in the subject! I'm so excited to get this started :)

Manic Monday- Mental Babble

Hi guys! My middle class was cancelled today, so I have some free time before my next two classes to write a post! Nothing crazy has happened today and I only have two classes left... so I'm doing my Manic Monday post now, while I have some free time. Oh and fair warning, it's kind of a stream of consciousness, mental babble sort of thing. So it may be a bit random. But hey, it is Manic Monday right?

Superbowl 2014 & My Interview

Hey guys! This post is super late (technically Monday morning) but I've been spending time with family and watching the Superbowl with friends, so you can't blame me! What do you think about the Seahawks winning? Who were you rooting for? I'm a Patriots fan (duh), but in New England any team that beats Peyton Manning is gold. I generally don't care who wins or loses... but boy, one of my roommates sure does! In the end it's just fun to watch the game and try to understand it. I'm not the type to cry my heart out if we don't win...Not that I would have had to since the Seahawks beat the Broncos!

My Pet Peeves List

    Source
I always love to read peoples pet peeves list (is that weird?) because some of the things that get on peoples nerves are just so funny! So I thought I would share a little about myself, and give you a list of my pet peeves.
