Surprise ~ My New Car!

I got a new car! I got a new car, I GOT A NEW CAR!! Ahem. Sorry, I had to get that out. But guys, Tuesday I got a new car! I've been wanting to talk about all this for such a long time. I had to get a new car before I move down south, because let's be honest, my Jeep Wrangler gets 15 mpg and that's not a fun number when you have a 15 hour drive ahead of you. I love my Jeep, but had to face the facts that poor college students cant afford to drive gas hogs. The end. So Tuesday I finally emptied my bank and got one.

I couldn't find anything I wanted for a car, so I picked some of my favorite things about my Jeep, and other things I've been wanting, and tried to search around. I obviously love taking the cover off my Jeep, so I knew I wanted a convertible. I liked the small size because I can park ANYWHERE, but just wanted better gas mileage. I also love that Jeeps go forever. So, I decided to get a convertible VW Bug. The search was brutal, let me tell you. I'm so stubborn and picky, it took forever to find one I liked. I originally found a cream colored one with a tan top that I loved, but it sold the day before I went to buy it. Heart broken, I stumbled across this beaut. Her name is Boo Thang.

Isn't she pretty? I love her. My Jeep will always be my favorite thing in the world, but this car comes pretty damn close. I've been wanting to blog about this whole process and search for the past few weeks, but I'm one of those people who waits to know something is happening for sure before I tell people about it. Go figure. Either way, you know now! Eventually I might also do a post on the buying process. The dealer I went to is particularly sneaky (I'm so not impressed) and keeps adding things on that they swear they told me about. Uhm no, I don't thing so. Either way I'm so excited about my new car!

  1. Yay! How fun! Buying a new car is such a process, but the best relief and excitement when it's finally yours :) Good choice! I've been a VW girl for a long time and have always thought the convertible bugs are adorable! xo

  7. Congratulations! A convertible would be so much fun and I agree, small size is great for parking. Beetles are so adorable. The color is fantastic!

  8. Having a new car is really worth getting excited about, especially when you think of all the things you’d been through in searching for the car you really wanted. So don’t worry, just let yourself get excited, as everyone would do the same when they finally get the car they love. Drive safely!

  9. So cute! I have always loved the VW Bug. I have my eye on the new VW hybrid diesel, but it's so far out of my price range. I have major Prius envy, but for now, no car payment is nice. Enjoy the sweet new ride. :-)

    1. Ohhhh I wish! Mine is an 08, so it has decent gas mileage but I would still love a hybrid!

  11. Kudos to your new car. It totally fits you. Looks like a real ace and a real solid construct. The only thing you'll have to do now is to ensure that the delicate and internal car parts don't get raided. Take care, Dear!

  12. Shopping for a car can be difficult, because you have to look from one shop to another, and be meticulous about everything. But I don’t think you encountered those problems, because you know exactly what to do. It’s an advantage that made your experience less stressful. Enjoy your new car, and always drive safely!
