Do you ever have a day or week where everything is going good and you're feeling pretty motivated? I'm totally having one of those weeks. The weather has finally been warm, and it actually feels like spring. I've been focusing a lot on spring cleaning and organizing this week.
Since I've been accepted to the University that I want to go to in North Carolina, I've been thinking a lot about my stuff. North Carolina is about a 14 hour drive from here, and I'm starting to think about what I can and can't bring down with me. While I want to bring my bed down, I'm still trying to figure out an affordable way to get it down there. Any ideas? I've also been thinking about organization, to make it easier to figure out what I need to bring.
Since I hate doing laundry and have massive amounts of clothes, I did about 6 loads of laundry (not exaggerating) and am in the process of organizing my closet. I recently discovered a Home Goods store about 10 minutes from my apartment, and have been going crazy with storage baskets and hangers. I swear I could live in that store. I've been also been getting into some DIY storage crafts. I'm planning on doing a closet tour sort of thing when I'm all done! Yippee!
A sneak peak at one of the storage baskets I got! Zimby loves it too :)
As I'm getting older, I'm starting to notice that I'm not into all the bright flashy colors anymore, or the crazy prints and patterns. I'm starting to love neutrals, so I'm swapping out my old storage bins, towels, and other random things, for new ones that fit me and my sense of style more. I can't believe it's taken me this long to figure it out, but I'm glad I finally have! You know you're growing up when you find shopping for new bath towels exciting...
Anyway, that all has been taking up so much of my time, on top of everything else I do. I'm also going down to North Carolina the weekend after Easter to apartment hunt and make sure the University is right for me, so I've been planning for that. So busy! But I promise I'll keep you all updated on my journey.
If you have any tips/suggestions for moving big/heavy items to other states for relatively cheap, let me know! I'm absolutely clueless.
