My mother and I. Do you think we look alike?
Usually I take Sunday for myself and don't post anything, but this week I'm making an exception. Today (February 23rd) through Sunday March 2nd is National Eating Disorders Awareness week. Her Campus has started the #LovingMe project to support the week, while also focusing on non-physical features that people love about themselves. I think this is absolutely great! To help spread the word, I thought I would do a post about what I love most about myself. You can learn more about the #LovingMe project here.

So let's talk about me. It took some thought, but the thing I love most about myself is my strength. So far in my life, I have been able to handle everything that's been thrown at me. I try to grow from my negative experiences, instead of letting them set me back. This is something I learned from my Mom.

I don't totally agree with the quote: "That which does not kill you make's you stronger." It's the event/action that makes you stronger; It's how you handle it and move on. Strength is also knowing when you can't do something alone. I'm still working on that aspect of strength, but it's part of who I am, and I love who I am. So thanks Mom for raising me to be strong!

What do you love about yourself? Be self-centered for a minute, you deserve it!

  1. You and your mom totally look alike! The #Lovingme Project sounds really great; very inspirational.

  2. Love this! Sometimes we forget that loving ourselves is not being conceited!

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for making my day :)
